VCOM-Carolinas Welcomes the Class of 2021

Classes at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM)-Carolinas are now in session, as medical students from the Class of 2021 completed orientation on August 1. The newest class kicked off their first year with a picnic on campus to meet and greet their new classmates, as well as their families, faculty, staff and administration.

Of the 163 students in the Class of 2021, 66 are from North and South Carolina. Although many students from the new class are recent graduates, a total of 114 come to VCOM from previous careers in the healthcare field. Thirty-six members of this class are graduates of the VCOM Graduate Certificate Pre-medical Program, 45 have family members who are physicians, and five new students have family members who graduated from VCOM!
